Daedalus : all entries
Greg Auriga
revised 2011.04.09 at 18:40
A Heirotus defector and the only survivor of the Hemera, Greg lives in constant fear of being "recovered" by Heirotus. Having played a critical role in John West's decision to leave the Templar, Greg provides engineering and weapons support for his benefactor's merry band of misfits in exchange for black market cybernetic maintenance and a really good place to hide.
First appearance (production) : The Dualist, Reentry.

John West
revised 2011.04.09 at 19:33
The first extraterrestrial human to be born on Terra. Homeschooled by Templar, he left the organization in 598 citing management issues and took the Daedalus with him.
John is an incredibly powerful Navigator, having received the Navigation gene from both of his parents along with a heaping helping of finely-tuned AEI awareness from his mother. A combination of natural ability and years of practice have made him one of the fastest Navigators on record. He uses this ability to run a freight service, ferrying art and cultural artifacts from the Terran Annex of Alleste (4.0) to clients all over Civilization, typically returning with heaps of precious metals or small arms and ammunition.
First appearance (production) : The Dualist, Convergence.

Naomi Houston
revised 2010.03.11 at 17:20
A former Federal Marines Corps Navigator, Naomi handles the Daedalus whenever West has other priorities. Hotheaded and irreverant, Naomi swears like a sailor and is known for making impulsive piloting decisions, with a marked tendency to shoot first and not ask questions later. Her Navigation abilities are a hair above average- Dextroamphetamine and other stimulants induce the "kick" needed to pull the Daedalus into the Terran Annex.
First appearance : The Dualist, Reentry.
Shannon Israel
revised 2011.04.09 at 17:18
The Daedalus communications officer, Shannon picks up languages the way most people pick up song lyrics. A native of the Terran Annex of Alleste (4.0), Shannon works with West as a means of learning more about galactic civilization.
First appearance : The Dualist, Reentry.
Sir William Blackwater
revised 2011.04.09 at 17:16
A longtime friend of the West family, Blackwater is a powerful biomagneticist from the fourth level of the Terran Annex. The nature of their business relationship allows for West to call on his services whenever he needs serious weapons-grade psionics support, or a babysitter for his base of operations in Australia.
First appearance : The Dualist, Descent.
Xand
revised 2011.04.09 at 18:59
A pink-haired mechanical genius with a full complement of prosthetic limbs (one "bolt-on," three high-quality synthetics) and no memory of her first twenty years, Xand is West's flight engineer. A non-terrestrial human with a talent for software, electronics and languages, Xand finds exploring Terran culture to be an entertaining change of pace from the endless drudgery of routine maintenance.
As her skill set has a broad overlap with Greg's, one of the two typically stays in Australia to "mind the store" while the other is out providing support aboard the Daedalus.
