Aeon (Avatar)

The astral manifestation of the starship Aeon's organic components. Michael Yang perceives the ship's avatar in the form of a dog (species unknown, possibly a wolf or the equivalent of a German shepherd, with the coloration of an NBE). As the Aeon AI has been deprived of much of its higher functions, this perception could be considered an accurate impression of the ship's capabilities.

A higher being with immense telekinetic and gravimetric abilities - powers and talents which are slowly manifesting in his physical incarnation, the Addicaine Alias Azahel.

Dyluck

A higher being with an unknown array of abilities, Dyluck incarnated as Thaddeus Gallahad in 584 and remained in a dormant state until Awoken in 598. Thad's cognitive dissonance forced her back into a dormant state until 603. Thad - her "lower self" - bifurcated her awareness in an attempt to dispell what he perceived to be a form of possession. The expelled aspect took hold in the mind of Annathena Val, at which point Dyluck, now fully Awakened, set out to reunify herself.

A veteran of the Federal Army, Yang served as the Chief of Heirotus Corporate Security from the time of the first MBO-1 Encounter until his near-death in early 569 (January 1968).
Note : A more detailed character synopsis would at this point only confuse things further, as Yang's history and future are as subject to adjustment and revision as the rest of the cast.

Negative Biomagnetic Entity (NBE)

A congealed poltergeist formed from the discharge of large amounts of negative energy (hate, fear, etceteras), NBEs exist to feed on strong positive or neutral energy. A constant hazard to magicians and psionicists, weak NBEs are relatively easy to contain or dissipate with marginal training. The stronger the energy, the stronger the NBE and the more effort or time it takes to dissipate. At BMC, the Templar use biomagnetic concentrators to collect and contain this type of energy, releasing it only in the most dire of emergencies.

The River Guardian

An astral entity, abilities and ambition unknown. The River Guardian will play a prominent role in chapter three of DCR, after which this entry will be expanded. Until then, think of it as a Super NBE that's made a nest out of the USX helipad.
