Daedalus : John West

The first extraterrestrial human to be born on Terra. Homeschooled by Templar, he left the organization in 598 citing management issues and took the Daedalus with him.

John is an incredibly powerful Navigator, having received the Navigation gene from both of his parents along with a heaping helping of finely-tuned AEI awareness from his mother. A combination of natural ability and years of practice have made him one of the fastest Navigators on record. He uses this ability to run a freight service, ferrying art and cultural artifacts from the Terran Annex of Alleste (4.0) to clients all over Civilization, typically returning with heaps of precious metals or small arms and ammunition.

First appearance (production) : The Dualist, Convergence.

While not listed in any database, John West is technically an A series Addicaine, having been genetically augmented in utero using the same techniques and source DNA as the rest of the A series. His description of Navigational ability being hereditary does not reflect this - possibly a deliberate omission on his part.

Production Note : Much like Greg, West features strongly in the back half of Dead City Radio. In the interests of clarity, his Cast entry focuses on The Dualist and Transitional Voices, with a pinch of backstory for flavor and context.
